This charity quilt was constructed graciously by Vickie
Ritthaler who volunteered
to complete the quilt due to the illness of the hostess. In all
my many swaps that I have hosted Vickie has
been very gracious to quilt each of our charity quilts and has done an
exceptional job on each as this fine example above
shows. Vickie used a Hoffman Indian Paint fabric for the sashing and
muslin for the backing with a solid pink binding.
The effect is stunning with the basic tan desert color background blocks
and indeed looks like a painted desert scene. Thanks to Vickie for her
generosity and charity to our swap! (Please note that any defects
of the picture are the
sole responsibility of the photographer)
